for WCA

Mission Statement
The publications committee is dedicated to recognizing and supporting
art historical and critical writing of women in the visual artists professions,
as part of the historical mission of the WCA.

- New tab for “WCA Bookshelf” on the Website. Please use email bookshelf@nationalwca.org as the designated collection site for publication submissions
Bookshelf divided into:
- Books, articles, book reviews, catalogs, and blogs about women artists and feminism by current WCA members
- Books and articles on other topics by WCA members
- Suggested readings on women artists and feminism
- Submissions may be made by current WCA members, including Lifetime Achievement Awardees and past presidents.
Call for Submissions
The WCA Publications Committee is interested in learning about your publications (books, articles, book reviews, exhibition reviews, catalogs and blogs). Please send all bibliographic information (with a jpeg of book covers) to: bookshelf@nationalwca.org

Hi-res jpeg of book cover if possible
Price of book if currently in print
Articles should include journal, volume, No. and pages
Blogs or online publications should include URL
We will list
your citation on the national WCA web site/publications page, updating the
site every six months. To submit a listing, you must be a current member
of the WCA, or Lifetime Achievement Awardee. The site will celebrate
established, as well as emerging writers. If you have questions, contact Karen
